Clemmie Greenlee Documentary
Founder & CEO Clemmie Greenlee (aka “Ms. Clemmie”) was raised in an environment where poverty and violence were commonplace, and personally suffered the horrors of human sex trafficking that resulted in years of drug addiction, homelessness, prostitution and frequent incarceration. Since being rescued from the streets by the Magdalene House of Nashville, she has been tirelessly “paying it forward”—with a long list of accomplishments that include helping to establish Eden House in New Orleans (working to end sex trafficking), preventing dozens of gang retaliatory shootings, and supporting the basic needs of the homeless, the imprisoned and those disadvantaged by birth and geography.
In addition to being honored as “Nashvillian of the Year” by the Nashville Scene and receiving a coveted Soros Justice Fellowship grant for her innovative approach to violence prevention, Greenlee has been bestowed numerous awards for her work from organizations that include Bank of America, Philadelphia-based Mothers in Charge, the Tennessee NAACP, and Nashville-based Community A.L.E.R.T. and The Wesley Foundation Campus Ministry.

It was twenty years later before I would meet Mrs. Greenlee; it was on Monday, October 23, 2017. She was visiting Las Vegas for a short time.
After our first phone call, I checked the Nashville, TN, news and found Mrs. Greenlee was highly committed, not knowing why she was. I called her back. After reading about her commitment to her community, I knew an Earthly Angel was on the phone.
During our second phone call, listening to her, feeling the depth of her pain, and her commitment to making a difference, I asked if I could record her over the phone.
Mrs. Greenlee said yes; I had no idea what would come from the recording or what her story would be. Sometimes, you feel a phenomenon of something that could reach others; I felt it in my spirit and my intuition. After our second conversation over the phone, the recording of our conversation was converted into an audio documentary of Mrs. Greenlee. As you listen to her, be mindful of any audio quality issues, this was a phone call from Nashville, Tennessee, to Las Vegas, Nevada, over twenty years ago.
Cleaning my garage on June 23, 2023, I found the master audio tape. I called Mrs. Greenlee and shared that the recording had been found.
Hearing it after so many years brought tears to my eyes; we had numerous conversations following, and I attempted to help her and her brother move in a direction they could reach more clients, and save more lives.
Mrs. Greenlee informed me that she found the person who took her son’s life. She has put money on his books in prison; she shared many do not understand why she would be so humble. I shared she was gifted at birth, and her life journey has not been kind to her. Her universal humility and compassion are what makes her who she truly are.
